Heather BrooksMrs. Brooks joined the Markettes in 2013 as their director. She started her dance training at the age of 2. Over the years she has trained in many styles of dance; ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, modern, tap, hip hop and musical theatre. Mrs. Brooks was fortunate enough to spend a few summers training with the prestigious Joffrey Ballet. She graduated from Clear Lake High School where she served as a junior lieutenant and the team’s top officer her senior year. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a degree in finance. She was a member of the Aggie Dance Team, she served as the team’s co-captain her sophomore year and the team’s captain her junior and senior years. Mrs. Brooks has worked for Crowd Pleasers Dance Camps for fifteen years, teaching dance to high school dance teams. She has served as a teacher, choreographer and a judge. Mrs. Brooks has taught master classes and choreographed for various studios and dance teams across the Houston area. She also works at Premier Dance Academy, located in Clear Lake, teaching advanced tap and jazz classes. Mrs. Brooks spent four years working at Crosby High School as a dance teacher and the director of the Cougar Stars. The Cougar Stars won numerous best in class awards, choreography awards and technique awards. Mrs. Brooks resides in the Medical Center with her husband Vincent and dog Bonnie. In her spare time Mrs. Brooks enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Aggies and cheering on all Houston sports teams. Mrs. Brooks loves being a part of the Memorial community and is excited to be starting her 7th year at MHS!

Keri MaddoxMrs. Maddox returned to the Markettes in 2020. She started her dance training at the age of 2. She graduated from Berkner High School from Richardson, Texas where she served as the team’s top officer her senior year. She was a member of the Kilgore College Rangerettes and then attended Texas Tech University. Mrs. Maddox has worked for several dance performance companies: NCA Superstar, Starmakers and Crowd Pleasers Dance Camps. She has served as a teacher, choreographer and a judge. Mrs. Maddox spent ten years working at Clear Lake High School as a dance teacher and the director of the Clear Lake Flairs. The Clear Lake Flairs won a National Title in both officer and team categories. Mrs. Maddox joined Memorial High School and the Markettes in 2012. During the two years, the team moved towards more technical performances and won several awards. The Maddox family moved to Park City, Utah for two years. Upon returning to Memorial and after being a proud Markette parent she has decided to return to teaching and directing.
Mrs. Maddox resides in Memorial with her husband Brian and their three kids: Jacob, Morgan and Jackson. She enjoys spending time with family and friends along with volunteering with their children's activities. Mrs. Maddox has served as President of Memorial Lacrosse and Memorial Markettes Booster Clubs. Mrs. Maddox loves being a part of the Memorial community and teaching at Memorial High School. |
